Music Teacher - Secondary School
Terms 1-3 2025 / 0.7 - 0.8 FTE

What is the Role?

We are looking for a passionate classroom Music teacher to join our dynamic Music team in 2025.

This role will teach Music Stages 4 & 5, with opportunities to be involved in the cocurricular Music programme, including weekly ensembles and the 2025 Music Tour to Europe.

 

Who will the successful applicant be?

  • Displays dedication and enthusiasm for teaching classroom Music, with a heart for encouraging and inspiring students of all abilities
  • Has recent experience and proven success teaching secondary Music courses
  • Committed to delivering a high-quality Music curriculum from an aural vocal approach
  • Possesses strong classroom management skills
  • Demonstrates outstanding musicianship skills, including advanced practical skills in one or more instruments
  • Thrives working collaboratively in a high-functioning team
  • Confident in the use of technology
  • An understanding of and commitment to the School’s Christian mission, values and ethos

Previous experience teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and training in Kodály pedagogy is highly desirable.

 

Your cover letter and CV should address why you would like to be considered for the role and include an outline of your approach to music lesson planning. This could include your guiding principles, what students can expect to do in your lessons, and/or a sample lesson outline.
