What is the Role?

As part of an energetic and enthusiastic team, work with the Sport department to help to deliver our Secondary School Sports Program for the 2024-25 season through cricket coaching. The senior cricket coach needs to be available for midweek training and competition games on Saturdays. Training is after school on Tuesdays (3:30pm – 5:30pm) and is primarily held at Sydney University. The St Andrew’s Cathedral School cricket team plays at various venues in the Canterbury and Western Suburbs Association club competition. The 2024-25 cricket season will commence in September 2024 and it will end in March 2025.

Who will the successful applicant be?

• You will bring specialist knowledge and experience as well as a passion and enthusiasm to coach and mentor in a school sport environment.
• You will hold coaching accreditation in cricket and/or have relevant experience.
• You will be open to developing your capability as a coach through further accreditation.
• You will be able to demonstrate the capability to provide advice and guidance to junior coaches assisting with the team.
• You will have effective communications skills for working with and managing relationships with both school staff and parents.
• You will model the St Andrew’s Cathedral School values and behaviours and uphold the Independent Sporting Association Code of Conduct
• Have a current Working with Children Check and Level 1 First Aid or be prepared to obtain these. Prior experience in a school setting is an advantage but not essential.
